I’m in love with the COCO Chanel!
Chanel Classics: An Investment Bag
There’s just something about Chanel. Each fashion piece consistently showcases exquisite beauty. The fashion designs demonstrate a delicacy that is both classic and timeless. Chanel enthusiasts can be found all around the world – searching high and low for that hard-to-find color combination. The prices on these babies just keep skyrocketing. Take a look below for the approximate price increases over the years…

My love for Chanel is undeniable. If you keep your Chanel Classic in top notch condition it holds it’s value over time. Non-classics change with the season and do not retain the value as well as classics do.
There are a few Chanel pieces I’m wanting to add to my collection….here are some of the COCO beauties I’m lusting for….

My Chanel Classic Jumbo
A Chanel Classic Jumbo in Black Caviar Leather GHW was on my wishlist for some time. To help fund the investment, I sold my black patent ‘in the business’ flap bag. I completely support pre-owned purchases. When deciding on a purchase, make sure you consider your cost per wear/use. For example, I have $300 dresses I’ve worn once. Maybe twice. If I wore it twice that dress costed me $150 per wear. My Chanel jumbo costed me about $4000. Let’s say I wear it about 200 days of the year. Cost per wear is $20 the first year. The second year the cost is $10 and for the third year the cost will decrease to $6.66. Consider your cost per wear when making purchases you are questioning. Also refrain from impulse buying just because “it’s on sale” or because it’s “cheap.” Because it means you don’t absolutely love it. I am completely guilty of this but I’m working on it!
LUST4LABELSTIP: When making online purchases, make sure you pay via paypal. If something goes wrong with the transaction (seller doesn’t ship, seller sends fake) you can make a paypal claim and (in most cases) get your money back.
